I went through the Lamar BSN program and absolutely hated every minute of my time spent there. The faculty is composed of some real characters (think of that Netflix TV show "Orange is the new Black"), most of them are not very pleasant.

However, my recommendation for someone shopping nursing programs is:

If you want an easy program, don't go to Lamar.

If you want to really know your stuff as a new grad nurse, and don't mind grinding for 3 or 4 years, Lamar is for you.

Thank you!!! Can you tell me how the first semester is? I dont have a choice picking another college because my parents wants me to go LU because i can be closer to them plus they pay for my education.

I am applying to the LU program as a transfer. I am coming from UT of arlington as a senior. I wonder if my classes will transfer.

Up to 66 college credit hours and if your course number matches with theirs. It's the Texas Common Course Law. Talk to an advisor, he or she will explain it better for you to understand. Are you applying for the bsn program?

I am currently on the alternate list. I was wondering if you know if any one got called up last semester? How many? I'm freaking out!
