Does anyone use Invega Trinza (Paliperidone Palmitate) their practice? I note that it is a 3-monthly injection. It is not prescribed in New Zealand, so I just wondered if it is a useful medication to use?
Cheers, Nick.

The only time we've recommended it, and I don't think it's ever actually been used, is when a patient is discharging and there are concerns over them being med compliant. It's rather expensive and apparently not covered by a lot of insurance companies.

It's not used a lot here in the States yet. Invega Sustenna is more common, with dosing q2-4 weeks. But like the PP said, getting insurance to cover any/all of it is tough.
The Invega injectable works for a lot my non-compliant patients...providing they actually come in regularly to get their shot. Sometimes we can't even get the non-compliant ones to do that.
