Wondering about Nursing (RN)

  1. Hey, I'm going to graduate from High school in a couple of weeks and I'm going to college to become an RN. I was just wondering if anyone can tell me how hard the courses are, how long it's going to take etc. and also how hard the NCLEX exam is. And if anyone can be as kind as at tell me how much RN's start off making it will mean a lot. Thanks.

Nursing to me, is not easy in general. To become and RN it takes two years, depending on the school you go to. The courses are not easy depending on who you have as a professor. when you get to college talk with some nursing students ask then about the professors and how the classes are, they usually tell you who to take and who to avoid. Join the nursing club, its very helpful. If you decide to pursue a higher education in nursing then you will be in school for a while longer.

    hope this helps
    Godd bless you

Welcome! There are a lot of threads on here discussing pay scale. It's different everywhere you go. Good luck with whatever you choose!

Try http://www.salary.com to look up average nursing salaries in your area.

Nursing school (RN) takes 2-3 (ADN) or 3-4-5 (BSN) years on average...depending on how you schedule your pre-reqs, how soon you get into the program itself, etc etc..
Talk to a counselor at the college you plan to attend for more details about their specific program.

Good luck, and congrats on your graduation!
