Just want to say Hi and wish you luck in LPN training. It can be tough, but in the end it is worth it. Even if you read all the horror stories of disgusting things. It is just something that goes along with the job, and you get used to it in a hurry. Going through nursing school is an accomplishment in itself, LPN, RN--it doesn't matter.

Yes you are doing it right. I seen your respond. Welcome and good luck. Do what is in your heart. If you want to pursure to be and LPN or an RN or higher do whatever you feel is right in your heart. Nursing is a very fullfilling profession. You will get use to a lot of the things and can talk about them at the dinner table and eat as nothing you are talking about is disturbing to others. I am an LPN and I live being an nurse but I am going back to school to further my education. But it doesnt matter if you have a LPN, RN, RN BSN, behind your name the only thing that matter is if you are a nurse be a good nurse. Good luck to you.
