Wondering why toradol would be written as IM instead of IV if IV access is non issue. Does anyone have info as to efficacy one to the other??

Try this site http://www.rxlist.com/cgi/generic/ketor_ids htm#D Maybe it is more readily available from your pharmacy as IM vs IV. or less chance of error delivering IM? Not sure.

I get Toradol I.V often , 30 mg. Let me know otherwise.

I just though of something.....Toradol should be used with caution because of the potential bleeding that can occur with any NSAID.

come to think of it. I never heard of it being used post op or pre op.

I have had Toradol one IV push They put in a site just to inject the Toradol and it burned like H*** going in. I still have a knott in my vein where they put it in at. Just my experience. Since then I have always gotten it IM or PO. I use it PO if I can catch my migraine at an early stage if it's full blown for get it the only thing that will help is demerol and some type of antinausea med.

Me too! For migraine that is. I think you may be talking about Phenergan as anti nausea med. We don't have it up here. Only Maxeran and Gravol.

We use Tordol IV on occasion of a fresh post-op. It works great!

What about the chance of aggravated bleeding?
