RN needs Advice

  1. Hey Fellow Nurses!
I hope to get advice from my peers on how to resume my nursing career!
I live in Texas and took a 6 year hiatus to start a family. I have an active license in Ohio. Texas will not endorse my license b/c I have not practiced in Ohio w/in the last 4 years. Soooooo, I have decided to move to Las Vegas. Nevada has graciously endorsed my Ohio License!!!!
My nursing experience? For 14yrs (until 1999) I was a kick-butt OB nurse in a small town hospital in Ohio. An all RN staff, so we did everything from secretarial, to autoclaving instruments, to IVTherapy. No inhouse Doc or Anesthesia. NB stabilization LDRP, PACU, GYN. Ohio is one of the few Maternity Licensure States in the US. We did combat nursing! I have alot to sell and alot to give to my new employer...
    Now, my question:
I have contacted nurse recruiting agencies who tell me I dont meet the criteria b/c I have not been a clinical floor nurse in the past 2 yrs.
Anyone have any suggestions how and where to job search in Las Vegas to resume my career as an OB nurse or other field? I am a single mom, so I hope to have the selection of jobs or shifts that will allow me to give my little 5yo girl some stability in her young life! I know I cannot be the only nurse who paused her career to start a family!
Please HELP!!! I am ready to move immediately!!!
