  1. Hi everyone! My name is Gina. I am 39 years old and have decided to start nursing school. I would like someones input on going to the LPN school first or going straight into the ADN program. I have finished my Eng101. At the moment I am working on Technical Math, Psy200 and Music Appreciation. I am hesitating on what to do. LPN or straight to RN? Help.

Depends on what your ultimate goal is. If it's to be an RN and you don't need the LPN salary, and there isn't a longer waiting list, then go for the ADN. However, bridging from an LPN to RN is always an option if they have that program where you live. Depends on you and your lifestyle and goals.

Good luck. Welcome to Allnurses. This is "Introductions". If you have questions, pick an appropriate forum like "pre-nursing" or nursing student, or LPN to RN and ask there.
