New Traveler

  1. Hi
First time on this site. Seems pretty cool.
I just sold my house and bought a moterhome. Myself, wife and my 3 year old son are all taking off on are first assignment some where in Whashington State. I have signed up with 4 travel companies. Thanking about going with RNnetework. They seem to be very helpfull and have more places then others to choose from. Just waiting for my washington license.
I am very new at this (and kind of freaked out about the whole thing) so if anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate it.

That sounds so exciting. Keep us posted on how everything works out for you. I just might live vicariously through you and your family. What an opportunity!

this sounds awesome. We love to travel! Where did you get the idea to do this? My husband wants to put together a "family resume" and send it to small islands to sell all of our skills.

I have lived in the same town all of my life and just looking for an adventure. I am very lucky to have a suportive wife. We also would love to find a nice place to raise are son. Southern Ca just to congested and crazy anymore.
    thanks

Hi, I'm also a fairly new traveler and have been toying with the idea of buying a motorhome. I was thinking about taking my next assignment in Northern CA and was wondering about the Overtime laws. Most travel companies say after 8 hours nurses get paid overtime, but the company I'm traveling for now says they will only pay OT for more than 40 hours. What are the rules? Good luck with your assignment and your travel adventures.

The state laws call for OT after 8 UNLESS your contract that you sign indicates otherwise. Most traveler contracts state OT after 40.
