new to allnurses

  1. Hi~
I'm new to allnurses so I thought I'd stop in and introduce myself. I live in NC and I'm a new RN as of June. I work in a birth center and so far love it! I plan to start a Master's program in the near future to become a Nurse-Midwife. I look forward to getting to know some of y'all!!

I'm new also and labor & delivery is my thing!!!! We sound like we have a lot in common "work wise" anyway... I am also a new RN (one year this month). I work in a small rural hospital so I wear a lot of hats but delivering babies is by far my favorite. I do plan to make a solid career in L & D someday, somehow!!!!!

Maybe in a few years - when I get my masters I will go back to that arena, but probably not until then. I'm in a stable job right now and I really like it.
Residential home - non-state mandated and I also work as a sub school nurse. Both of them are extremely close to me (which means alot since I live out in the boonies - closest city is 45 minutes away) the residential home is less than 5 blocks from my house! I was thrilled when they made me DON
