Good for you! I am also starting again and I am in my late thirties...It's never too late. My friend who is an LVN said that she had a couple of mother daughter duo's in her classes. Because of your age, you're ahead in wisdom and experience. Best to you and God bless.

Good Luck! I started my nursing course at age 45. My drivers licence was older than half the students in my class! I hit my first promotion 18 months post Reg, then my second 3 years post Reg. Now 10 years post I'm a DON. All that life experience prior to nursing has been invaluable. 44% of the students on my course were classed as 'mature' (although not many were as mature as me!). Our grades were good because we really wanted to be there. :typing Hold on to your dream!

I might have already posted this on another forum, but I am about to turn 59 in December and that is when I will be graduating with my ADN. A career change for me at the age of 57, when I decided to go back to school to become an RN!! Worked in the dental field for almost thirty years and prior to that was an elementary school teacher. I am excited, but also nervous. You are only as old as you feel!
