Hello. I'm new to this site and was hoping I could get some help from some fellow nurses. I have been an RN for nearly 10 years now but have worked in marketing and community education for 9 of those years. I will be accepting a position with a hospital very soon due do being "burned out" with marketing. My nursing skills are "horrible" for lack of a better word, and I was wondering if yall had any suggestions on literature or workshops or anything that could assist me in getting back into the swing of things without looking like a total idiot. Thanks for any assistance you can offer.

It sounds like you are going back to square one...
To learn the skill again...don't you think you have to go back to floor again....

Find a facility that offers a comprehensive orientation or preceptor program, like we use for new grads. Tell them you are worth it, especially with your marketing skills, they should be glad to have you! Good Luck.
If this is not an option, as to have or be assigned a mentor that you can ask help for anything!
