NCLEX is a world of its own, and like nothing else. There is a way of reading and understanding what they are asking, which again is different than anything else. What type of review books did you use to prepare yourself for the exam? Did you have any info on disaster planning or triage?

I highly recommend the Saunder's book for review. It goes over the correct answer as well as going over why the incorrect choices were incorrect. Which in my opinion is just as important............

You are NOT Stupid! Don't be so hard on yourself! As Suzanne has said, NCLEX is a world apart from anthing else we've ever done. I'm also a UK nurse who's done NCLEX and I totally know what it does to you, but don't lose heart, you WILL master it! There's quite a few UK nurses on here who I'm sure will be glad to help and support you, just give us a shout. When are you planning to re-sit?
