LPN Student: Psyc/Corrections

  1. Hello there. My name is Adam and I'm an LPN student that's going to be graduating in late June of 2006.

I have extensive experience working with psychiatric populations and currently work for the State of CT's Dept. of Mental Health as a Mental Health Assistant. I'm looking forward to joining the nursing workplace in the psych and correctional fields. I have/do work in the acute psych field so have a lot of first had knowledge about what that field is like but would like to learn more about correctional nursing so if anyone would like to ask me about psych nursing or provide suggestions about correctional nursing I would welcome either.

I'm planning on pursing my RN via Excelsio r's college's online learning program and would love to hear people's experience with that type of learning program.

Other things about me, I speak fluent Polish, have a Bachelor's degree from University of Connecticut in Psychology and Economics, am a rabid men's huskies basketball fan, and love Key Lime Pie.

Nice to meet everyone! Feel free to contact me via this website's email option if you share any common interests.
