Hello, as you can tell I'm new. Just needed someone to talk to that would understand the stress involved with being a nurse. Although there is alot of pleasure involved also, some families just look at you funny when you want to talk

I'm not sure I understand the statement "some families just look at you funny when you want to talk". Who are you referring to? Families where you work? Families who you socialize with? Your own family? (hope it's not the latter)
But I do understand being "stressed". It doesn't matter who you are or what your job is, everyone has stress.
I'm not a nurse yet, but the student stress has been pretty heavy.
So, is there something in particular you would like to talk about?

Our families just don't understand what we go through like our fellow nurses do and sometimes it does help to come here and vent where people understand.
