Just wanted to say hi and pick your brains a little bit!

  1. Hello everyone! This is my first posting on the site, but I have read alot of the postings on the page. I want to start by saying I am so excited to have found this web page. I can't tell you how good it makes me feel to be able to talk with people feeling the same way that I do . I finally feel like i'm not jumping into this with my hands tied up behind my back.
Having said all that, I do have a few questions . I signed up for school this spring. I have to complete pre-req courses to apply to the nursing program. My school only starts the nursing program in the fall, and you have to complete all the pre-req's by the end of spring. There were no avalibe slots in A&PII so I won't get in this fall . My advisor did tell me about the L.P.N to R.N program and I've decided to go that route. It will take the same amount of time since I can't take the program this fall. And I'll get to work as a L.P.N for a little while before I become a R.N. I want to work as a R.N with my ASN, then transfer for my BSN and then work on my masters . I know it sounds confusing but it seems to be the only way for me. Anyone else gone this route? Have any comments or suggestions. I'm eager to listen. Thank you to anyone who took time out to read all this. It really means a lot.

Sounds like a plan. We have an LPN forum and an LPN to RN student forum here. Lots of people go that route.

    Good luck and welcome.
