1. Hi all...I'm new to this web site. I've been in nursing since 1965 first as an LPN then went back to school for my RN in 1985. I've been in OB nursing for the past 18 years and love it. I was wondering if anyone has experience in J-tubes. Since I've been in OB, I'm out of touch with Medical issues such as J-tubes. My daughter-in-law has severe gastroparesis and has had a J-tube inserted this past week. Yesterday she had a back up of yellow fluid in the tube..any thoughts on what it might be, remedies or if this is a serious problem?

Welcome to Allnurses. I'm sorry but we do not offer medical advice. Good luck.

Talk to her doctor....giving a medical advice to you is a risky business!!!
Other than that...I hope you will like the site.....
    Good luck.....
And don't forget to talk to her doctor right away!!!!
