introducing myself

  1. Hi
Just joined this week. Am a 50 something RN finishing my Ma in Adult Ed. Have spent many years facilitating learning of new employees and neophytes. Presently experiencing some problems (mine ii might add ) on facilitating students from Asia. Feel I might be a tad eurocentric in my approach. These students are so keen to learn but resist questioning me on information given. Also I feel many have problems understanding informal language which in essence is essential if they are to communicate. Any tips, evidence of learning approaches that will make them comfortable to approach me to learn to fully understand the knowledge given
