I'm Dave, A oneabe nurse

  1. hello

    i am 47 and making a career change in tucson, arizona.

    after receiving my emt b license, i determined to apply myself to a career as a nurse. i had run a successful business for 20 years, but it eventually tanked and i felt the need for something more.

    so i loaded up on courses this summer and am now finishing up my pre- requisites at the cc.

    i am applying to the u of a accelerated bsn program.

    i've got the grades but it's very competitive.

    if i am not accepted, my options are limited.

    folks here are overjoyed to be admitted to the cc lpn program starting in 09! i've got 3 kids and a mortgage. i can't wait that long.

    i can't move.

    i've thought about pct as a way to get in. that would be a real sacrifice for me economically, and i haven't yet found a simple way to train and begin, though i would love to.

    so i'm committed to 14 units of science at present, (certainly feel grateful that i can) and to praying that i'm accepted into the bsn program.

    any advice or just some plain old encouragement would be welcome

    thank you;

    I am crosing my fingers my toes and my eyes for you DAVE!

    Have you considered the Rio Salado program there in Arizona? It is partially online/partially done with local hospitals!

    The nursing program is offered in partnership with health care organizations. One hundred percent of the didactic courses are online and the clinical courses are completed with the health care partnerships. Currently, the health care partnerships continue to grow, and can be viewed under the partnerships link. These partnerships indicate the location of the program in Arizona, New Mexico, and Wyoming
