I will be starting school for LPN in Sept, asking for helpful studying hints

  1. Hi everyone,

I am starting school on Sept 28TH and could use all the suggestions about studying that i can get. I'm 36 and have been a medical billing specialist for the last 10 years. I am quiting work a week before school starts and I plan on earning my RN in two to three years. I am married with 2 children ages 14 and 10. Please if anyone has any sugestions send them to me. I would greatly appreciate them. I am excited and at the same time nervous but I feel good making this decision about nursing.

    Welcome to the group.
Just try to allow yourself some quiet time each night to get your homework done. Works best if you can allow the same time each night when possible. Get yourself used to a schedule that you can follow and that your children will allow you to follow......................

    thanks suzanne4,

I am going to have to figure out what is best for studying. My kids go to bed around 8-9. Although there is a library up the street that might be even better.

I am a little worried about the nursing math, but was told it will not be too bad.

    Have a nice summer..

I am actually in a small town just outside of Erie called Albion. I will be going to school in Erie. I am not sure how far Jamestown is from Erie?
