Howdy from Montana

  1. Good evening, fellow nurses!! I have been lucky enough to stumble across this site and am very excited to get the chance to brainstorm with other nurses!! I have been an LPN here in Montana for 14 years, am ACLS certified, passed the TNCC with 99% and am enrolled full-time for the fall courses through Montana Tech for my ADN!! I figured that after 14 years and 4 kids, there's no better time than the present to advance my career!! I work in a small 9-bed critical access hospital, so I am very much looking forward to speaking with other nurses from small, rural (some call them "frontier") hospitals!!!

Welcome! I am not from Montana, but I know the Madison Valley area very well (my parents retired there). Our hospital is small (25 beds) but we are nowhere near as rural as you are. We're only 75 miles from a Level I Trauma Center/ University Hospital. We have to improvise sometimes here, but wow, I KNOW how rural you guys are.

    Hi and welcome!

I work in a small rural critical access hospital too - we have 12 acute beds.
