Hi, I'm new here and have never done this before so pardon my lack of savvyness (if that's a word).
I'm graduating THIS MONTH with a B.S. in Biology. :hatparty:
But recently I've been considering neonatal nursing and I was wondering how much more school would I have to do if i have a Biology degree (i've obviously already had all the sciences.) Can someone please explain nursing school to me!? thanks sooo much!

You can do an acclerated program which is on average about 16 months for another BS degree (a BSN) or you may wish to look at a program that will also givng school you an MSN over a two year period or so. There are also two year Associate degrees available. They will all permit you to sit for the NCLEX-RN exam for licensure.
I actually had my degree in Biology before I went to nursing school..Did it help? Most definitely.....Did it satisfy all of the science requirements? No. I still needed more, of a different type, I was already taking Mater's level physiology classes...............
I would suggest that you shadow a nurse in an NICU for a day or two to see if this is something that you would really like before going to school for nother two years or so. You normally do not do any training in the NICU area while in sschool. Training for that area takes about one year until you feel comfortable with most things.
