1. Just came across the site. I hace been in nursing for 10 years now. I am currently working at a rehab hospital ( rehab as in ortho, strokes, TBI not A &D) I have been there for 3 years and really feel I am looking to make a change but really sure what. Physically I don't know if I can put another 20 years in floor nursing. Really would love to hear from anyone who has choose to stay in nursing but got off the floors...amy

    Welcome to allnurses. I am thinking along the same lines. Getting pretty physical out there for these old bones. I work L&D and maternal child, and it gets pretty hectic. Often miss a meal break and don't get to sit very often, but I DO LOVE IT, so I stay.
