hello people, i'm entering nursing program this coming august and i'm nervous and don't know what to expect. i finished all the prerequisite eight years ago and i took some refresher course last fall. i read a lot of stories about nursing and some of the stories are discouraging and some are good. i have a technical background and scared to give up my job cause i have family to support and bills to pay. plus the pay is good. i know that it will only take two years of my life and the payoff is worth the wait. right? i worked part time last year at a behavioral facility just to know how to handle patient and get some exposure in the field. the experience was great but there are times that i asked myself why do this? i'm still looking for answers. i know it's not about the money and i guess the opportunities and the satisfaction of the job. anyways, thank you for reading my introduction.
