HI everyone! I would like to introduce myself finally as I have been lurking on these boards for months! I'm an RN student currently enrolled in my first semester of a two year program at my community college. What a long road it has been. It took me five years to complete my A. S. Degree and nursing prereq's hoping to transfer to a four year BSN program at the local university. However, as many of us have experienced, getting in was EXTREMELY competitive and I was turned down twice. :angryfire Didn't make the lottery for another community college, but was accepted my first try to the college that I am currently attending based on my GPA. With that said, I can empathize with everyone struggling to get into a program. It is soooooo frustrating. Keep at it though, it will work out and you'll get in. I'd like to thank everyone that posts on these boards because I've been very inspired when, at times, I felt like I was never going to get into nursing school. When I came here, I realized that this wasn't just something that I was going through, but many others were experiencing the same frustrations. Everytime I would read that someone else was admitted to a program, I would think okay, there's hope for me too. Thanks everyone and I hope to be posting often.
