Hello From A Newbie

  1. Hi,
Name's Ronnie and I'm new to the forum. I was browsing through some nursing books and review courses and I came across this website. Seems like fun!
I graduated in with BSN in 1998 but before this , I already have a business degree. Came here to NY, USA and somehow I placed my nursing degree in the backburner for a while. I was hoping I'd be successful in a business enterprise but I got nowhere and funny, everytime I get my next job - it's in health care, either directly or indirectly. The health care profession kept drawing me back.
Finally, I sort of succumbed to the fact that I'd have to take the NCLEX and become registered as a nurse for good. I had to answer a calling, so to speak. GOD works in mysterious ways. I thought He prevented me from becoming successful as a businessperson so that I can be a nurse. This attests something that God has a grand design for us and we're just a cog in His scheme of things. I guess this is what He really wanted me to be. So I gave myself to Him, His wishes for me, and to the people needing my help as well as my family.
Now I am an RN and very happy. I should've done this a long time ago.

    Greetings, Ronnie, and :groupwelcome:

Nice to have you on board, and do be prepared to become thoroughly and hopelessly addicted to this site!

Thank you for sharing some of your background, and I will have to agree... it always pays to listen to the One who created us in the first place rather than to follow our own leading.. (often only to find we were way off track!) ...for who truly knows us better?

We are all given a gift and specific talents... and for a reason.
    Again, Welcome to Allnurses!
