Hello Everyone, Lots of questions....

  1. hi, i am carrie. very interseted in finding new information and honest advice. i am undecided if i want to go to school for ultrasound diagnostic, or nursing. i have been out of school a long time. i may have an opportunity to go to a private school wich costs a lot of $$, for 16 months, graduate and become an ultrasound sonographer. or, go to my community college and take 5 prereqs, plus 2 years of required courses for either ultrasound, or rn.
please let me know your thoughts.
    thank you in advance.

Just a few thoughts. Nursing offers more venues for working. Hours are more varied. Stress on the body would be more with most areas of working in nursing. Probably more mental anxiety.
US if you live in a spot with larger hospitals would give you various opportunities and more of them. Probably mostly days or evening hours. Less physical and mental strain. More confined area of thinking and patients that come and go for your services.
