Hello Everybody!

  1. hi, this is my first time here i just registered today. i am an lpn, and have an inactive license. i have been trying to find a refresher course and was searching online and that is how i found this site. this is really great. i have been an lpn for 28 years, but have not worked for the past 7 years. my license has been inactive for the past 2 years. i stopped working to take care of my mom, and never went back after she passed away. i have worked in many different specialties, but for the last 15 years worked primarily in cardiology. i live in the maryland, and would like to reactivate my license i have not found any refresher courses for lpn's. i would appreciate any information anybody can give me about that. i am interested in going back to work in hospice care. i find that i really do miss working after all these years. i have kept as up to date as i can by reading, and of course as you all know being a nurse in the family you get calls for lots of help and advice, lol!

i am married to my dh for 41 years. i have two grown sons who are naval officers, hence my nickname. they are both married, and i have two grandchildren. my grandson will be 11 on the 15th, and my granddaughter will be 7 in december.

that's a little bit about me, i am looking forward to being a member of allnurses! have a great weekend everybody!
