1. Hello,
I am new to this site and look forward to hopefully getting some help and offering as well.
Am veteran RN, now injured and can no longer do "regular nursing".
Does anyone have any ideas on others types of nursing available.
I have done Quality Assurance at a Bloodbank but am now moving cross country and there are no such positions available where I am moving to.
Am thinking about working home business full time and leaving nursing.
    All ideas welcome.

Hi MaryKay, and welcome to All Nurses! I'm sorry for the situation, but you know there are tons of areas that need your knowledge and experience! This is a link to some areas on this site that detail a whole spectrum of nursing specialties https://allnurses.com/forums/f4/

Perhaps something there will enable you to contact other people in that specialty. Also, https://allnurses.com/forums/f131/ will take you to the individual state forums. Perhaps someone in the area to where you are relocating will be able to assist you in specific positions that may be of interest to you. Feel free to post away!

Good luck to you. We're glad you're here!

Good luck to you. Most facilities have quality assurance RNs, so you might be able to find one of those.

Teletriage is a great way to share your experience without the heavy lifting although there may be shift work still.
