1. I found your site on Google and wanted to say hello to everyone. I am not a nurse, but I have a husband dealing with Chron's Disease, partial colon resection and temp. colostomy.

My husband is in Federal prison, so it is not possible for me to talk to his nurses or doctors, or at this point to even see him, so I am forced to try and find information about his situation on the internet.

So far, in the three years he has been sick, he has lost his Gallbladder, had to have kidney and bladder stones removed, said they did a partial prostate resection and now the colon resection.

It has been long and difficult and I wish I had found this site a long time ago since I had many questions, still do in fact, and have never been sure that they have treated him correctly to the standard of care that is expected from the general medical community.

Just for the record, he is not a sex offender, or drug dealer. He is paying his dues, and with this medical care then some.

I just wanted to say hi, and I think all nurses rock. You guys take care of sick people and though I wish I could do that, I don't have the patience to put up with the patients! I know good nurses are the strength behind the doctors and I have been in the hospital enough times to know this is true!

    God bless all of you.

I'm sorry to hear about your husband.

I know you know this, but it bears repeating. We do not offer medical advice. We can answer general questions about nursing care.

Thank you for welcoming me, and of course I do understand and will not ask for any medical advice. My goal is to try and educate myself on the situations I have been handed, it makes it easier for me to deal with not being able to speak to his doctors and nurses.
