florida nursing schools

  1. I will be going to school for my LPN in toledo Ohio in the fall of 2005. after i graduate i want to move to florida. I want to go to school for my RN, but am having a hard time finding a good nursing school, i keep getting online nursing schools like university of pheonix in all the search engines. I prefer a private school, any suggestions? Also are there any hospitals that pay for you to get your RN? thank you so much!

Welcome to the website. Good luck in your endeavors. The nursing schools here I know are public, and the hospitals are not hiring new grad LPNs, as I have a friend that is looking and having a hard time. In Pinellas County where I live the LPNs also have to have a separate IV and medication course after graduation before working in a hospital.

Florida Hospital in Orlando is a large hospital and they have a private nursing school there, which is a bit expensive. Although I'm not sure if they have an LPN to RN bridge, or pay for you to go to school.

You also might want to the the Florida Nurses bulletin board on this website and post your question there.
