Hi, My name is Roger and I have decided to make a career change. I have a family that I need to support so it is difficult. I have worked in a family business for 30 years and now make 55K a year. So I don't feel like I can change positions until I can at least make that. I am in a night and weekend LPN program now that will end in Dec. 07. I have a 4 year business degree and am looking to find out how to become a RN at night and on the weekend's for a BSN. I live in Roeland Park Kansas which is near Kansas City. Any idea's?

Hi and welcome, Roger. I would recommend calling your local community college and checking with them to see if going to school during evening hours is possible. Some comm. colleges offer this option, some do not.
It is a matter of calling around and finding out the options they do have for your work schedule.

Hi Roger, I think you can take the LPN on line you just have to go to the location to do Clinical. we have that program available here in MN after you take that you can do it on line...Check with excelsior.... I took all my Pre-Reqs and Co-reqs classes (Chem, Adv Phys, speech, Abnormal psyc etc) that way, just be finishing up my RN Degree, I almost did it by Excelsior. but did not have much left, one class and clinicals and now i am down to just one semester Woot woot!!!!
