I am Aprylddd, I am a LPN,at a LTC facility in the state of Maryland. I have been in the Nursing field for the past 18+ years, having gained my experience caring for patients by providing them with hands on Nursing care. I choose now to lend my skills behind the scenes. I am now practicing Nursing as a Quality Assurance/Staff Development and Infection Control Nurse this is were I believe my knowledge can best be of use at this time in my career, I train GNA's, LPN's and RN's. A part of me does want to go back to school for my degree but being a LPN has not prevented me from attaining the skills, knowledge and/or the resources needed to further myself in the Nursing field and make a good dollar doing it; I like many others who are "just LPN's" would like to pursue my RN but time is the issue I've looked into on-line programs unsuccesfully thus far, but I plan on continuing my education soon.
