    I live in St. Augustine, about 30 minutes south of Jax. I've been here my entire life so I can tell you that anywhere in Florida is notoriously lower paid than what you are probably used to, but there are jobs everywhere so finding one won't be a problem. They used to blame the wages on the lower cost of living, but I've seen my house increase in value $90,000 in three years. The pay is unfortunately not keeping up with it.

    It is a beautiful area though and lots to do. I'll never leave no matter what the pay scale is. I do make a decent living and have few complaints except the price of gas which has nothing to do with the city I live in since it's high everywhere.

    I encourage you to come this way. I don't think you would regret it. We have great winters. :wink2:
