Hi everyone. I have been lurking for a few weeks now and from what I have seen this seems like a really cool message board with nice people. A little background first.
I am 36 and I have waited tables for the majority of my life. Except for 5 years in a warehouse, shipping pharmaceutical drugs. I had been with my most recent employer for over 4 years waiting tables. I'm currently unemployed, by choice. I gave my 2 weeks notice at the beginning of the year hoping to start things off with a new career in 2007. I was tired of serving groceries. I need something a little more rewarding.
I signed up for 5 weeks worth of CNA classes at the American Red Cross. Classes start Monday. I am very excited and nervous! I just hope I can do it. If anyone has any advice on what I can expect or some special knowledge in the field, by all means feel free to post to this thread. I think that just about covers it so thanks for listening.
