Interview with a public health nurse

Hello everyone!

I personally do not know a public health nurse & was hoping someone could help me out by answering the questions below for an assignment. All help is appreciated! Thank you in advance!

1. What your job title

2. Where do you work (don't have to be specific)?

3. Can you share a brief history of your nursing career (how'd you get to this point)

4.What brought you to community/public health nursing?

5. In your opinion, how has community/public health nursing changed over the years?

6. How have electronic medical records and other technologies impacted community/public health nursing?

7. How do you work with interdisciplinary groups to promote the health of their community?

8. How do you promote safety and caring in your setting?

9. What quality improvement projects are or have you been involved with in the community setting? If you have not personally been involved, what are some of the quality improvement projects their agency has been working on?

10. If a nurse was interested in a position in community/public health nursing what would you advise them to do?

11. Are there any certifications or training that are commonly pursued by community/public health nurses?

12. What do you see as the importance of community/public health nursing in the future of US healthcare?

Hi there - another student just made a similar post. Just FYI, most nurses on here won't answer this type of student interview question....the idea of the assignment is probably for you to find live human nurses in your own community if you don't know them yet. Also, you don't have any way of knowing that we're actually nurses - anyone can register on the site, they don't check our licenses. I work in a county public health department, and we get calls or emails from students who need to do interviews occasionally - someone is always willing to help out. You might need to just make a couple calls. Good luck!
