Interview Clinical Support Staff?...

Specializes in Critical Care.

Hey everyone, I posted this on the general nursing student thread...and I wanted to try here as well :3 I was just wondering if anyone knew exactly what speciality the clinical support staff was. I have an interview with a manager at a hospital on monday *yay*.

Are they just known to be a staff of Nurses and PCTs/CNAs that are assigned to different areas of the hospital every day? I believe that's what it means because theres no specific unit.

It's a float pool/PRN PCT position...I figured this would favor me more because I'm taking pre reqs and I would get experience all over the hospital...not just in one unit :D

Thanks in advance! :D

Clinical support staff are usually CNAs/PCTs. Float pool means you go where ever they have the need. So you may not have the same assignment everyday (going to any unit they need you). Which is okay if you like changing it up. It is great for experience you will learn where you want to be as a nurse because of all the floating. Good luck to you.
