guys i need your help, i really need to earn money now for my family, i already hve signed up with an agency now, but since retrogression is around im planning to work in saudi while waiting for my interview, which could take about 1-2 years to be lifted. i hve no intentions of informing my agency since im pretty sure they wont allow me. will it be a problem in the future?, regarding me signing up with an agency and going to saudi to work as a nurse? also can you help me find an agency to work in saudi even though i dont have any experience now? please respond to this, thanks. sorry for my english

Yes, it could be an issue for you, you signed a contract with them. What happens if the retrogression is lifted this summer and you are overseas working for two years? By the time that you get your documents and approval to work in Saudi, the retrogression could be over. Looks like you do not even have an employer as of yet in Saudi.

Have you taken the NCLEX exam and have a Visa Screen Certificate?

What type of cancellation fee does the agency have in their contract? I would focus on what that states.

can i just leave saudi and go back to the phils once im already scheduled for interview for the immigration? i think the contract is only 10 months i dont think retro would be lifted by that time. meanwhile the termination fee for my agency in the us is about $40000, i just need to work abroad coz we cant settle here in the phils, the salary is just not enough for us

Then you would be walking out on another contract. You do not even have an employer yet for Saudi and you do not get papers done over night for there either. You really need to think these things thru.............or you could cause more issues for yourself. And cost yourself more money. Agencies frown when you walk out on a contract, and that is what you would be doing if you are already at the stage of just waiting for an interview with the US Embassy. Do not think that I would risk it.

the contract is only 10 months, and i just signed up with my agency now, i dont think i would be scheduled for interview with that short span of time. its like gaining experience here in the phils, while waiting for the interview, only difference is the location (saudi) and more recognize experience of course higher salary. i know a lot of nurses are doing that, besides i just signed up last month, and with retro im pretty sure it would take me at least 15 months ...if im lucky enough

hi norhubez, i think wer on the same boat. im also planning to work in saudi rather work here in the phil while waiting for my application. the only difference is that i dont have an agency i applied directly in the u.s i have a lawyer whos taking care of everything.. my application was already filed in uscis. (im in packet 2 if im not mistaken) as ive heard, the hospital setting in saudi is quite similar in the u.s unlike here in our country. although, some of advices that ive got were not in favor of my idea workin in saudi while waiting bec its too risky. the retrogression might be over soon and they say it would be better that im just standin by.. however, im still having second thought of pursuing my plans working in saudi coz for me its a good option while waitin... goodluck norhubez, hope ull come out with right decision
