Working as a nurse within london and fringe areas

  1. Hi everyone! I'd like to know which is better when it comes to working as a nurse in the United Kingdom as nurses who work within London have higher pay compare to those who are from Fringe areas. (I know they received HCA's which varies on where they are working.) I just need some input on who saves a lot or it is just the same or it really depends on how frugal you are.

Still expensive to live in London even with the extra benefits. Rents tend to run more expensive as landlords know people will pay

Hi Silverdragon102! So it is safe to say that working in fringe areas will be much better?

I guess you need to take things into account like sharing accommodation, are you close to work as public transport doesn't always run the same time as shifts, how close to shops you are going to be as well as looking at rents, rates and any other expenditure you may have

It is better if you work in suburbs or even in Midlands or up north. Pay is all the same for Bands except you dont get the London allowance and the fringe benefits is not that big. The rent and transport in London will eat up your money plus I dont want to live in London where it is so congested and fast paced. You can always visit London anytime for R&R as they have good transport system from north to south and west to east.
