Visa screen

World International

Published

Hello everyone. This is my first post in the forum..

i am from morocco and i live legally in the US. I am a registered nurse in morocco and i am applying for the visa screen through CGFNS international. I passed the IELTS language test and my school from back home sent them all the transcripts and documents they need. I paid the fees also..

My question is: what will be the next step and am i going in the right path?? Do i have to take both NCLEX and the CGFNS test? Do CGFNS give me some classes to take before the exam???

please help me and tell me the step by step process to get a work visa or a green card through this process please!!

thank you for responding

CGFNS in my case used the same documents that they already had from my Credentials Evaluation Report to issue a Visa Screen certificate. Apart from the Verification of License; they asked for another one of those. But the educational transcripts, etc, they did not askk for them again, they sent me an email actually saying they were using the info they already had from my evaluation. It's such a money making scam it should be a crime They charge you $540 to produce a certificate saying that you're a Registered Nurse (which they've already ascertained from putting together your credentials evaluation report) and they use the info that you've already sent them anyway. Just another hoop you've gotta jump through, it makes no sense and seems to serve no purpose because it;s just a replication/duplication. An official looking certificate saying, 'yes, this person is a real nurse & not a fake one, just like we already said they were on the other report we issued a few months ago.'

Anyway Google which states allow you to apply for the NCLEX-Rn without a SSN (most of them) and which ones will issue a license without a SSN (quite a lot of them.) These concurrency issues are crazy. They effectively block all immigrant nurses from ever working in that state. You can't have a SSN if you haven't got a visa, and you can't get a visa if you haven't got USA RN licensure. It's like a vicious cycle I don't get how they are allowed to do it. So, once you've got your VSC start applying for jobs. Take the following steps:

1.Get CES report from CGFNS which I think you already have

2.Get VSC (non-immigrant.)

3.Apply for jobs.

4.Find employer willing to go H1b route.

5.Obtain a H1b visa.

6.Go to local Social Security office in the States, apply for SSN. Look on the website. Info is clear and concise.

7.Start work. Show employer proof that you've applied for SSN. Call SS office a couple of days after submitting application and they will tell you your SSN. Your card will come a couple of weeks later in the post.

It's all a pain in the butt. Good luck hope that clears it up

Sorry meant to say get CES, then apply to BON that doesn't require SSN, get ATT, take exam, pass it, you will get license issued. There are definitely states out there that will issue you your RN license without a SSN, I got mine without SSN, recently. Then you can apply for non-immigrant VSC, get a job offer, get visa approved, get SSN and start work. Of course this is all assuming that eveything goes smoothly, which it may not...anticipate problems. Have a positive attitude yes, but if you don't prepare for setbacks you won't be able to deal with them properly when they arise

Thank you percy-m soo much that sounds like a good plan..

Do u know what states will let me take ncelex without ssn?? Where did u get ur licence from?
