Hi nurses,please i would like to know when to apply for visa screen certificate.do i need to pass nclex first? and how long is it valid?pls explain the process,sorry am asking a lot of questions but i guess thats why i have you to help me out.thanks and God bless you all:nurse:

in the UK the requirement from the NMC (our governing body) is that even if coming from an English speaking country you have to pass an English exam

just what i thought hehehe. thanks! i emailed NM for the fee, but just in case, does anybody knows how much is the payment for license verification. From what I read, it's $60 for Cali. I hope it's cheaper in NM.

license verification for CGFNS is free of cost in NM but for license verification to other state u have to go thro Nurseys and its $30.

hi. i am new at this forum. i am usually just an observer in this forum.

Can somebody help me on how to start w/ my application for the VSC? took nclex nov ,2006 and ielts april , 2008. i'm confused on where and how to start processing my VSC.

another question. i recently got a 10yr multiple visa to the USA, and had a 2wk vacation w/ my family last month. if I apply for my VSC, will my visa to the USA be cancelled by the embassy.

All instructions on how to apply for the VSC is in the handbook, you will need to arrange your results to be sent to ICHP as it has to come direct from them not you. I doubt your tourist visa will be cancelled but as normal it is up to the admitting officer to whether let you in and for how long

in aplying for VCS simply go to the cgfns website. you can apply by downloading the forms or online. have you english rsult officilay forwarded as well as your nclex-rn result.

your tourist wont be affected when you apply for VSC. your VSC is needed only when you adjust your statud tru consular processing.

Hi, I filed my visa screen already and i am in the process of completing the requirements. I have sent all documents pertaining to license verification (here in the Philippines) and also to my school. Now my question is how will I request the BON of California to provide proof or certification that I already passed the NCLEX since I do not have the license yet (I have no SSN, they will not issue a license). I read in this thread that it cost around $60, I visited their website and there are no information or forms pertaining to this matter. I emailed them but until now I have no reply.

There are no forms to fill-up from CA BRN. You just make a request via a cover letter and of course include the License Verification Form (from ICHP/CGFNS) for them to fill-up and send back to ICHP/CGFNS.

The name of the $60 service is on their website under the misc. fees on their Fee Schedule.
