Hi my friends,

I wonder how many nurses are there in U.S from Turkey?:nurse:

I hope I will get in touch as many as you possible through this site so we can help each other about NCLEX-RN and obtaining working permit.

Let's share our experiences:)

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.
What iis yor status?

My status is F1 student visa.I need change my visa type and find a sponsor hospital..

Do you know any Hospital in the usa(location is does not metter)that they can sponsor for visa?

Thank you

The issue if you find a hospital willing to sponsor you is retrogression and a current wait of 5 years or more for a visa. This may change but at the moment only applications received before the beginning of 2005 are being processed

Hello! =)

Here is my very first post on these forums. :D

I will try to explain my confused self here. I had registered here months ago but somehow could not follow. Trying to read at least a bit recently, because lots of awesome info here for us nurses and some new info I need and so on. Also I really wonder how is nursing in worldwide and what common things/experiences I am sharing with other nurses all around.

I am a new nurse, like almost 6 months, graduated from Koç University in 2010 june. I live and work in Istanbul. I chose to be a pediatrics nurse because I adore children and I am so happy while working with them really. =) I love everything but recently started to realise there are some unfair things happening around, so I've decided to start planning for my dream. After I got 1-2 years of experience I would love to try working in abroad, probably in the USA. To be honest, although I am dying for it, I feel like I am lost in my dreams because I do not know about these things much.

I need some detailed info at first probably.. Like, how many years I need to continue here, what kind of exams I need to take to be accepted as a nurse in the USA/how to apply for them, what materials are needed, also skills maybe and so on, totaly confused, or just I do not know much thing..

May take several years at the moment to get into the US due to retrogression. You can however start by applying to the state board of nursing (links can be found at the bottom of the page) and get the ball rolling to be a licensed nurse in the US. You will need to take and pass NCLEX. There are currently 2 states that definitely require a SSN with your application so check with their website on requirements as each state has their own requirements

To all World Turkish Nurses;

Hi there,

I guess you passed the exam. Congratulations! I have a bunch of questions to you actually.. :shy:

hi,

i want to ask you something.

i can't get any information about whether foreigner who graduate university in turkey can take a nurse license exam . could you please answer me?

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

Only real way to find out is apply to a state and see what happens. A lot is based on what your transcripts show

then, you mean foreigner can take a turkey's license exam? :)

Hello there tinasmall,

I hope all is well with you. I am a RN in Abu Dhabi and recently got married with a Turkish guy :) and my husband would like to settle in Turkey.

I wonder if there are available jobs for foreign nurses out there. I passed my NCLEX too. So, if I would like to work in USA, are there any recruitment agencies in Turkey hiring for nclex passers? I do hope I will be able to find answer to my questions.

Thanks a lot and have a great day ahead of you!

It's been years since I haven't logged to the site. Recently I needed some information and when I logged my account I saw all the messages. I don't know what your status is and if you need any information regarding nuclei and nursing in the states I'll be happy to answer. I hope you passed and working in the states.
