Saipan Board of Nursing Address???

Hi all, I am wondering if you need to put "U.S.A." in the Saipan address?

Thanks!

Just the address as you take it from what you have. USA does not need to be included.

They are a territory of the US, not a state.

hi! i'm a nurse here in the philippines, i took the NCLEX in saipan, i was expecting to work there so i chose to make commonwealth of northern marianas islands as my state, i'd like to ask if anyone knows how to renew my NCLEX license since they don't have their own website

hello! it's my first time to post, i'd just like to know if anyone knows how to renew the r.n. license in saipan since they don't have a website and no one answers the phones

They are not a state, they are only a US territory.

They are not computerized, that is why they do not have a website.

NCLEX is not a license, but only an exam. If you pass the exam, then you are issued a license from there, and it is an RN license.

When you receive it, it should give you all of the information that you will need to comply with to renew it.

When one receives the original license, there should be instructions with it on how to renew it.

But do be aware that since they are not computerized, most communications with them need to be done by fax or letter by snail mail.

Not recommended to go thru there if you are not going to be working there as they take quite a bit of time to submit what you would need to endorse to another state or US territory.

I know of a review center here in cebu who process application for nclex for northern marianas. Just search this review center on the web: Cebu Medical Review Center and get the contact number and them them a call for your query. Maybe, they can help you.

Sorry, but they do not process applications, all that they can do is put them in the mail. Why in the world would someone want a company to do that for them in the first place?

If they cannot do it themselves, then how are they going to follow instructions later on when given to them?

And if the person is not going to actually work in Saipan then it is utterly just plain dumb to go thru them as one will have many hassles in getting that license endorsed since the entire office is not computerized either.

I mean processing the nclex exam: from the mailing --> registering at pearson---> scheduling---> for hotel accommodation in manila during the exam date. Hey, that SOMEONE you're talking about are my friends. Better ask them why. Please dont be judgmental. I'm a bit new to this site. You know what, I look up to you coz you've been helping everyone here with the nclex that is also why I signed up in here. Please try to use words that couldn't hurt someone or make someone more anxious while presenting the reality that we nurses here in the philippines don't have a way of working in the US. We know that we will be trapped in here. As I was reading your posts, it seems that you are already discouraging us to go the US. But we are not giving up on our dreams. Really, First impressions never lasts. :(

I am not discouraging anyone, sorry if you feel that way. But everyone needs to be aware of the fact that there are not any visas available and we do not expect any for sometime.

There is still a limit as to the number of green cards issued per year and that still is at less than 10,000 for your country. And that also includes spouses and children, so in fact you may be looking at about 3,000 for nurses or so when it all gets done. Look at the number that are currently in school there no with no prospect of getting a job anyplace. Add into it the fact that most other countries actually do require the local license as well as experience, and then you have even more problems.

There is absolutely no reasont to waste money on having a company fill out paperwork for you when it is something that can easily be done on one's own time and what is the person going to do later on?

There are also cheaper hotel reservations that one can usually get by booking things on their own. This company is not working for free, but is making a profit on doing these things and it just makes no difference at all.

And if Saipan is not the place where one wishes to work, then there is absolutely no reason to even consider them. They take a long time in getting results out, even longer than CA, and then they are also slow when it comes to helping with endorsement. So why in the world would someone want to waste time and money when it is not going to benefit them at all.

And if I did not like helping people, I would not even be here. Sorry that you feel that way, but honesty is always best and to say to anyone, oh do this and you will be in the US in a few months is not going to help anyone at all. People need to know exactly what is going on here and what they are going to need to do to be able to work here. No reason in trying to sugar coat it.

And no one is trapped, but they need to be realistic in what is happening in the world right now. And if they are aware that things are like they are and not expected to change, then they need to adapt and not focus on getting to work someplace in five years if they do not have any work experience.

There are always things that can be done, but the person needs to show that they have initiative to do it and that is what is going to get them hired in the US, not just sitting and waiting for things to happen for them.

But lets get back to the subject that was being discusssed here and that is the address of the Saipan BON. And since it is now posted, then the thread can be closed.
