RN With Six Years of General Adult Med/Surg Interested In Moving to Ireland From USA

  1. Hello...

I am a RN educated in the USA and I received my initial license in 1997. My experience has been in General Adult Med/Surg. I am interested in relocating to Ireland with my family and my cats. What is the current employment environment for RN's in Ireland?

Any assistance or advice is appreciated.

    Thank you...

My understanding for Ireland is jobs are hard and if a employer is going to be required to meet immigration purposes then even harder

You may have significant issues trying to bring your animals overseas. Think extended quarantine in customs

Parts of Europe have "animal passports". Basically you have to be able to document the animals vaccination requirements. The long quarantine periods are becoming a thing of the past.

But working in Eire is a dream even for many of their nurses.
