its nice to know whats going to happen in the future in order for all of us to plan what we should do.

retrogression expects to get worse before it gets better

the retrogression has gradually gotten worse during the past 21 months. the october 2006 state department visa bulletin reveals that the eb-3 category has now retrogressed almost 4 1/2 years. the backlogs are even greater for persons born in india and mexico. even the eb-2 category for advanced-degreed professionals has backlogged for persons born in india and china. see http://shusterman.com/vb.html

No problem. :wink2: Thanks for helping out, BTW.

If you have a complete set of requirements (CGFNS, Visascreen, NCLEX test result or USRN License) Could you still file for your greencard I-140 even though the visa has run out at the US embassy?

If the Visa is not available and no longer current, are they still going to accept any petition?

visascreen certificate expires after 5yrs but its renewable. Cgfns test score expires after 2yrs if you did not make your english profficiency, but I can't say of Nclex

Visa screen expires a bit sooner now, recently changed by CGFNS

The I-140 can be filed, but not one thing will be done with it and it has higher chance of getting misplaced, or ???? Same thing happened last time.

If you have an employer, have them submit the petition now, do not wait.

Visas do not run out at the US Embassy, they run out from the USCIS which handles immigration for the US. The US Embassy is only involved in the final interview process.

Yes, I believe you are right but the IELTS result has a 2 years lifetime and it will expire. Im not sure about the Visascreen Certificate.

Do the visascreen certificate expire?

Do the CGFNS test results expire?

Do the NCLEX test results expire?

Hopefully our visa problem wont last for more than 1 year. :wink2: :wink2:

Once you completed all the exams with in two years, the CGFNS or NCLEX, English exams you receive the Visa Screen Certificate, then the validity of the English exams do not matter anymore which is only good for two years. . Visa Screen Certificate is valid for 5 years. The CGFNS certificate is valid for lifetime.

The bulletin for the Nov. will be released very soon (usually at the 10th of each month, as Suzanne said). So, let's wait for it. It was predicted that there will be about 1,000 left for Nov. but these are just rough estimates.

No other way but to wait for the next bulletin. They may give more info. by then.

hello suzzane, i have a question:

if you are already in the states, and retrogression happens, can a hospital petition you even there are no VISA available, how about getting EAD just to work and be able to adjust status? and just wait for greeen card when its already available? is this possible?

your employer cannot sponsor you if visas are not available. you cannot file your i140/i145 if visas are not available. from what i know they wont accept applications if the visas run out and will only accept if the visas will become current again.
