Neuro - Toronto area

  1. Hi all ! I am an RN from Sydney Australia, Nurse ED and Palliative Care. I am enjoying reading the posts immensely and have picked up a few handy tips along the way.

I have a dear friend in Burlington Toronto that is about to have R/O a brain tumour via stereotactic procedure. Her friend tells me that the hospital is about 45 mins away and we would be very appreciative if anyone could tell us what hospitals in that area might specialise in neuro.

Would St Michael's be the one perhaps?
    Any info much appreciated...

I too live in Burlington. Yes, St. Micheals does Neuro (depending on traffic it could be 45 min away) as does McMasters in Hamilton (actually closer than Toronto)
also Trillium Hospital in Mississauga (also closer)
London Ont. is further away but has an execellent reputation for Neurosurgery. (but is about 1-2 hours away)
    Good luck to your friend!
