There is no exam like that for the nursing field in the US, that type of exam would only be if you were going to practice law.

Nothing has been halted in the processing. Everything will be completed up until the US Embassy interview and the medical exam. Everything in immigration is continuing, it may that your petitioner has put things on hold, but the US government has not.

The issuing of a visa number is on hold, and that is needed before an interview date can be scheduled, but that is the final step in the process.

The process still continues for anyone up to the time of the US Embassy interview and the medical exam if they are going thru Consular Processing. Many do not understand that as many agencies are telling nurses that the US goevernment has put everything on hold. And that is not the case at all. When one packet is completed and the bill paid for, the next packet flows thru the channels.

Those that have petitioners that know what is going on and are honest with their nurses, will be first in line when the visas open up. The others will be waiting, and it will look like many are just beginning the process.

We have seen this over and over again.

Nursing is different from any other field. And you did not see anything about it on the CA BRN website.
