you have a big chance to be hired by a hospital here in us.why don't you go to manila bulletin's classifed ads?considering you got your cg and ielts passed already, what you need to work on is just the nclex. ideally, they want somebody with experience.but with the shortage, i can see some rn's here who came from the phils who were just fresh graduate (haven't even taken the local boards) who are now working as an rn. i believe it would not take long for you to come here because you got some requirements satisfied already. goodluck!

yes, do pass your resume to the hospitals hr directly. not all will respond but theres a good chance they will. many have done this. but do not send out resumes until you pass the nclex bec none of them will respond. do not go through an agency.

make a search on hospitals in the area you want. click on the bar that says careers and youll see the positions available and a link for passing resumes. nurses are on EB3 (employment-based) category, meaning they need to be hired by a hospital to work. no other visa categories are available for nurses.

with the retrogression, focus on the nclex first. good luck!

thread moved to international forum, as it does not pertain to working in the philippines. refer to banner in bold above.

now to your question, focus on taking and passing the nclex exam, the more reputable facilities could care less about the cgfns exam, they want to see passing of the nclex. you will you will get more results that way.

with only the cgfns exam passed, you will not get many responses.

please be careful with the agent/agency you deal with. you can call poea for the advise. the problem with direct hire is that they don't have an address here so you can't run after them in case something bad happens to your case. poea said that you have to communicate with your employer/agency directly and you should be warned if an agent here in the phils is doing the transaction. do not sign a contract they will present to you at once. read carefully the details of the contract.

And I suggest that you focus on passing the NCLEX exam first, it will give you a better chance of finding a hospital to petition you directly. Most will not touch you until you pass the NCLEX exam, the CGFNS exam means nothign to them. It will not permit you to practice in the US.
