Do they have short term assignments in the Carribean area? Like maybe 6 or 8 weeks? My family and I have talked about going somewhere for the summer. I was thinking more like California or New York, hadn't thought about the carribean. :)

Hi,i'm new to the site and i just wanted to say thanks.I will be moving to the caribbean within the next year and have had no luck with getting any information until now. Is nice to know that other nurses have managed to do what seems impossable at times. There is one question though?I have been an lpn for 5years,med/surg and Ltc.Does anyone know if they hire lpn's in the caribbean or just Rn's?

What country are you moving too? In the Bahams (were I grew up) they use both LPNs and RNs. The pay is not the best though.
You should call the Ministry of Health for the country you are moving to and get the best information of requirements for working as a nurse in that country.
An agency would be the easiest way to get things done.

Hi,
I'm from Ohio and my husband and I are going to be moving to St. Croix within the next 6 months to a year. Would like any information about the employment for RN's there. Regular employee at a hospital, nursing home, health department, school nurse....just about anything. Any info on pay, nursing conditions, licensing, etc. If anyone has this info it would be very helpful, thanks.
Oh, and by the way, I would like to get in contact with any nurses already there. Please PM me. Thanks again.
