Bachelors from the Philippines

I'm not sure if this is the right board to post but I just had my nursing school credentials evaluated and it says that my bachelors in the Philippines is equivalent to the bachelors here in the US.

I'm not saying all schools in the Philippines might be equivalent. Just saying that it is possible.

The reason why I'm posting this is because I've had people telling me that my bachelors from the Philippines isnt equivalent to the bachelors here in the us.

In case you're wondering, I used WES to evaluate my credentials. The school that I plan on enrolling for masters required me to have my credentials evaluated by WES. I've used CGFNS in the past as well, and that was for my NCLEX in September 2012.

Hope this helps.

Which state are you? Each universities has own evaluation in each student. Especially the units of major subjects you have may be different from them even the legit agency who evaluated you TOR said so.

Just to add .... My Filipina wife was applying for a BSN program at a university here in Florida. A requirement for admissions was that she had to have here transcripts from her school in the Philippines evaluated by a company in Miami called "Josef Silny" (she had a BS degree in Computer Science).

We were very happy that her degree from the Philippines was evaluated as "equivalent to the bachelors here in the US".

yes it is equivalent, I think most of our BS degree from our country which is PHils. were equivalent here in US, but universities and some other schools here have their own pre requisites to enter the program. You might want to check the requirements in that BSN program. :)
