Hi Everyone,
I'm new here and hopefully I'm posting this in the right area. I'm currently an LVN in Ca and looking into a 1 year LVN-RN on-line program based out of Fl. The name of the school is called International College of Health Sciences based out of Boyton Beach, Fl. I was just wondering if anyone here has had some experiences in dealing with this school, currently attending, or could provide any insight into the program. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
Actually they do accept nursing courses only if you were in another RN program not LPN. LPNs can only test out pharm and funds. I just spoke to the advisor. Also, there are plenty of schools that accept nursing courses. I've applied to about 10 schools already in the last week ACNE and CCNE accredited. You just have to research ? I was in another RN program and have took funds, med surg 1, 2, ob, peds, pharm and psych. They told me I can take the gap test and if I pass (850-900) is passing. I will go straight to capstone for 15 weeks then I will be graduated!
Nursing Rocks,
I asked that question “out of” and was just answered with min of 900 points. I looked it up on HESI and that seems to be the min score any school takes. So I’m wondering if that’s equivalent to a “C” but then again I’m not to sure. I read the max points can be well over 1000. Kind of confusing.
I was told it’s strictly fundamentals/pharm. How it will be distributed, I’m uncertain.

Hey Future, can you tell me the name of the advisor you spoke to because I spoke to the person I've been in contact with (Jacqueline) and she doesn't seem to know what you're referring to. The GAP test or "advanced placement test" is strictly only pharm/funds. I've spoken to a few people that have taken this and they confirmed it. So I'm not sure what other GAP test is offered with what previous people are mentioning.

From my understanding, they accept prereqs just like any other school. However, I have not heard a school (this is very rare) accepting nursing courses from a different program (examples: OB/PEDS/Med-surg. They obviously do this because of money..
I was told the deadline for enrollment in February is this week (Mid December). You need to pay the application fee of $200 and submit everything in your portal. Testing for the next GAP test is scheduled in January (This is $150). You need a 75% to pass and it's HESI format-all pharmacology and fundamentals.
Hope this helps.
Hi Ruby, can you share how the GAP test went? Do you recommend studying the HESI PN guide?
